About the Role
The Head Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our General Medicine department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the General Medicine department, aligning with the organization's overall vision and goals.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and coordination of services.
- Lead and manage a team of medical professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Represent the organization in external forums, building relationships with key stakeholders and promoting the organization's reputation.

Requirements
- Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in General and Acute Medicine, or equivalent.
- Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical setting, with a track record of success in driving clinical excellence and improving patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.
