Job Opportunity

We are seeking a results-driven Centre Manager to lead our team and drive exceptional customer experience at our seasonal pool.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the management of our facility, the team at the Centre, and our local community. You will ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes, and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees
  2. Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning, and individual development plans
  3. Lead and drive a high-performance community-minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement
  4. Achieve budgeted performance targets
  5. Maintain a high-value relationship with local Council
  6. Implement a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base
  7. Recruit energetic, diverse, and passionate employees as required to complement the team and the vision for the Centre
  8. Identify staff and develop career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when required
  9. Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements

Requirements

  • Experience in managing or leading in a similar leisure or aquatic facility
  • Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Vulnerable People Legal working rights in Australia
  • Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or ability to successfully complete the course)
