Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hazard Facility Process Technician to join our team.

This role will play a critical part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant systems as needed, maintaining adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant trade qualification (e.g. mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation) and strong understanding of process systems, instrumentation, and control logic.

  • Key responsibilities include conducting thorough monthly inspections of plant equipment and systems, identifying, documenting and reporting faults or irregularities for timely resolution, and collaborating with maintenance fitters to prioritise and plan repair activities.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be required to facilitate procurement of necessary parts and materials to support planned maintenance, monitor onsite spare parts inventory and ensure timely replenishment of consumed items to prevent downtime.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant trade qualification (e.g. mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation).
  • Strong understanding of process systems, instrumentation, and control logic.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Skilled in identifying, documenting, and escalating equipment faults.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning / systems and execution in hazardous industrial environments.
  • Ability to conduct structured inspections and generate clear, actionable reports.
  • Comfortable using maintenance management systems, spreadsheets, and digital reporting tools for data entry, analysis, and communication.
  • Competence in tracking and managing spare parts and consumables.
  • Clear and concise in both verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk mitigation in high-risk hazardous facilities.
