Job Title: Automation Excellence Leader

This is a leadership and delivery role focused on transforming automation potential into business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery Visionary: Own the roadmap across internal platforms - including both off-the-shelf and custom-built solutions, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Team Strategist: Lead and coach a team of 5-7 engineers, supporting their growth through structured 1:1s, feedback, and personal development planning, driving team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Adoption Catalyst: Ensure solutions (built or bought) actually get used, rolling out adoption plans including internal comms, metrics, training, and follow-up to hit 80%+ active usage within 90 days.
  • Judgement Expert: Evaluate whether to customise, extend, or replace existing systems, leading rapid scoping, proof-of-concepts, and ROI modelling, making informed decisions that drive business value.
  • Technical Architect: Ensure secure, API-first, scalable architecture, whether implementing off-the-shelf tools or building in-house, prioritising innovation and excellence.

The successful candidate will be able to drive adoption, make value-based decisions, and align all work to commercial returns, staff efficiency, or customer outcomes. They will also possess a strong understanding of Agile delivery, system ownership, and change management.
