We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Customer Service & Support organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving complex technical issues.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for technology and customer support. You will work closely with our customers, collaborating across teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and develop your skills through training and readiness programs.
Responsibilities
- Owning, investigating, and solving complex customer technical issues
- Collaborating with internal teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices
- Leading in building communities with peer delivery roles and sharing knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching, and mentoring
- Engaging with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving Microsoft product improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
- Experience in WSUS, SMS, SCCM 2007, 2012, and Microsoft Intune
- Operating Systems Concepts – Active Directory, Security, OS Internals
- Networking concepts – DNS, protocols, Devices
- IIS Concepts – Configuration, ISAPI, Architecture, SSL, and Kerberos
- Exception Handling
- Memory Management concepts
- Tools – Netmon, Perfmon, SQL Profiler
- BASIC DEBUGGING SKILLS
- BASIC SQL Server Administration concepts
- Strong knowledge of any Windows OS, Mobile device OS, Client, Server knowledge, understanding of Cloud services

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This position requires weekend or after-hour on-call upon business needs and verification of Australian citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
