Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our workforce at the Pilgangoora Operation, one of the world's largest hard-rock lithium operations. This is a permanent full-time position with an 8:6 or 7:7 roster from Perth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily mechanical maintenance tasks as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor to achieve the maintenance plan.
  • Troubleshoot machine components to determine causes of failures and gather evidence for later analysis when required.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed properly and consistently in PRONTO to high standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to assistants in their duties.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Maintain punctuality at all times.
  • Use parts correctly within work order task descriptions as intended.
  • Return unused parts immediately to stores warehouse for credit.
  • Clean and tag removed parts with information noting associated work order details on completion of repair.
  • Ensure company tools are returned to proper storage areas after use on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the surrounding work area and workshops in a clean and safe state.
  • Raise improvement opportunity ideas with Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent.

About You:

  • You must have a Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Fitter (Fixed Plant) that is Australian recognised.
  • Forklift Confined Space Working with Heights experience and fixed plant experience in a mine processing plant environment are required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are essential.
  • Ability to work well in a team in remote areas is necessary.
  • A strong commitment towards safety and quality is required.
