About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our Northwest division, you will play a vital role in championing safety compliance efforts on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement HSEQ documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Advise and educate site personnel on legislative requirements and changes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions to minimize risks.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, pre-starts, and Toolbox meetings to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate training programs, including the maintenance of competency standards, to ensure site personnel are equipped to perform their roles safely.
  • Analyze HSEQ performance, reporting, and system updates to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain the company's Integrated Management System to the 45001, 9001, 14001, and OFSC accreditation levels.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic advocate for safety with the ability to influence others. You will have previous experience in a HSE advisor role, specifically within another construction company, and be looking to step into a larger main contractor.

  • Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant WHS acts, regulations, Australian standards, and codes of practice.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to recognize the essential role of every employee, subcontractor, and site leader in delivering safe work outcomes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and good time management and multitasking skills.
  • Qualification in Health & Safety or equivalent and a current Driver's License.
