About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Professional to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in championing our safety compliance efforts across various projects in the Northwest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement HSEQ documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise and educate site personnel on legislative requirements and changes to company procedures.
  • Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, pre-starts, and Toolbox meetings to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate training programs, including the maintenance of competency standards, to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Analyze HSEQ performance, reporting, and system updates to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain the company's Integrated Management System to the 45001, 9001, 14001, and OFSC accreditation levels.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders, including FMG, Rio Tinto, BHP, and PPA, to drive safety excellence.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic advocate for safety with the ability to influence others. You will have previous experience in a HSE advisor role, specifically within another construction company, and be looking to step into a larger main contractor.

  • Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant WHS acts, regulations, Australian standards, and codes of practice.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to recognize the essential role of every employee, subcontractor, and site leader in delivering safe work outcomes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and good time management and multitasking skills.
  • Qualification in Health & Safety, or equivalent, and a current Driver's License.
