Accounting Specialist

Overview of the Role:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable system, ensuring timely payments and accurate records. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong passion for accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter outstanding invoices into the accounts payable system, ensuring correct assignment of general codes.
- Prepare and process cheques and payments in a timely manner.
- Monitor and check creditor statements to ensure the hotel remains current in its payments.
- Assist departments with expense-related enquiries.
- Prepare month-end accounts payable reports, including purchase journals and cheque registers.
- Perform other accounting functions as needed or required by the finance team.
