Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of the management team, the Department Manager will act as the Senior Beauty Advisor, collaborating closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to lead a dynamic team in a vibrant retail setting. This role is essential in ensuring an exceptional client experience and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a role model, demonstrating the Sephora experience to customers by embodying the brand's commitment to delivering a curated and innovative beauty journey.
  • Promote a sales-driven environment, consistently exceeding performance metrics and enhancing team capabilities through effective coaching and support.
  • Analyze and utilize reporting data to inform operational strategies in partnership with the management team.
  • Encourage open dialogue within the team, providing constructive feedback and maintaining clear communication with management.
  • Act as the Manager in Charge (MIC), addressing client and team member inquiries with confidence in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Role Highlights:

This position offers the chance to engage with a variety of product categories, including beauty, skincare, haircare, and wellness, while also overseeing essential store operations such as sales and inventory management.

New hires will benefit from comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training through our specialized online learning platform, ensuring they are well-equipped to guide clients through Sephora's exceptional offerings.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Availability to work a flexible 38-hour rotating schedule to meet store demands.
  • Demonstrated experience in retail management, including financial oversight, sales forecasting, team leadership, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
  • A hands-on leader who thrives on the sales floor, inspiring and mentoring team members.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding client service and creating memorable retail experiences that reflect the Sephora brand.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture where every team member feels valued and empowered through feedback and professional development.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales goals and performance indicators.
