Job Description

The Logistics Lead will be responsible for maintaining an effective distribution network, overseeing transportation modes, and driving customer service performance standards. Key performance indicators include On-time Shipment, On-time Delivery, Inventory Record Accuracy, and Cost-to-Serve.

The successful candidate will assure integration and optimization of key work processes, systems, and technology, identifying solutions to optimize logistics-supply chain cost and efficiency. They will provide insight on regional market conditions, lead efforts to minimize supply chain logistics disruptions, and ensure compliance with trade regulations.

The Logistics Lead will design and manage relationships with Third-Party Logistics Service Providers, supporting International Trade Operations in collaboration with Purchasing. They will be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in International Trade Regulations, providing consultation and guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining an effective distribution network capability
  • Overseeing transportation modes, including road carriers, marine, and air operations
  • Driving customer service performance standards and key KPIs
  • Assuring integration and optimization of key work processes, systems, and technology
  • Providing insight on regional market conditions and leading efforts to minimize supply chain logistics disruptions
  • Ensuring compliance with trade regulations
  • Designing and managing relationships with Third-Party Logistics Service Providers
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in International Trade Regulations
The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Logistics Lead role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:

  • Background in Logistics, with a strong understanding of Warehouse/Transport processes
  • Strong base in Import/Export, including INCO terms, compliance, and customs
  • Previous experience managing 3PL relations
  • Leadership qualities
  • Dangerous Goods certification
  • ERP/SAP experience
