Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Newcastle, responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting for a mine site. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports for mine sites.
  • Stewardship of the general ledger, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses.
  • Support audit requirements, including hard close, half-year, and full-year audit processes.
  • Develop expertise in financial systems, including ERP and BI software.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related field.
  • CPA or CA membership.
  • At least 3 years of management accounting experience, preferably in a mining industry.
  • Systems experience, particularly in TM1 Planning Analytics and Pulse, is desirable.
