Senior Sustainability Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with a specialized team located in Sydney within the National Planning Business Unit. This team is expanding its capacity in renewable energy and sustainable planning, presenting an exciting opportunity for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on renewable energy, including development capability, due diligence, and planning approval processes.">
• Prepare planning applications and post-approval activities, including Environmental Impact Statements, Statement of Environmental Effects, and Environmental Management Strategies for energy projects.">
• Support the team in developing sustainability strategies and advising clients across various sectors, including infill, new communities, and industrial development.">
• Build trust with clients by providing quality advice and managing expectations.">
• Write submissions, proposals, and advice that accurately reflect client needs.">
• Manage small to medium-sized projects, including scoping and costing, tracking job costs, and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants.">
• Identify and raise issues impacting fee estimates and/or project delivery timelines.">
• Coach and develop individuals within the team, as appropriate.">
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and the Planning team's Business Plan.">

Requirements:

• ">
• Holds a tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.">
• Minimum 5 years' experience within the Town Planning industry, preferably in renewable energy and sustainability.">
• Demonstrated appreciation and understanding of sustainability and resilience principles.">
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.">
• Proven ability to influence outcomes through proactive, informed, and decisive communication.">
