Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team focused on accelerating Australia's transition to a future powered by clean energy. We're seeking an experienced financial modeler to work within our Business Intelligence unit, driving insights into fund management, investment, asset management, and development businesses.

This role involves developing and maintaining models that underpin our business operations. You will provide financial analysis and support for various stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of key performance indicators. Your expertise will help inform strategic decisions and drive growth across our portfolio.

You will have touch points with different parts of the business, providing an in-depth understanding of operating renewable assets and funds management. This role offers exposure to various aspects of the energy transition happening in Australia, including solar, wind, and battery storage projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate asset performance and macro inputs to drive insights into past and forward estimates of performance for our funds.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis at a portfolio level to assess the impact of various equity exposures in our asset portfolio.
  • Clear articulation of key messages and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and operate various asset and fund level models developed by the business, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and suitability for use.
  • Integrate yourself with all aspects of the business to understand needs and challenges, and develop tools to support the business.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, and financial modelling best practices.
  • Previous experience in a professional services modeling team or formal training in modeling best practices.
  • Experience in real asset (infrastructure, real estate, renewable energy) model development and operations.
  • Accounting qualification or similar.
  • Comfortable using technology and leveraging digital applications and media platforms.
