Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our team.

  • Job Description: As a key member of our organization, this role is dedicated to developing, integrating, and optimizing our data management strategy and processes. This involves helping deliver insights from data to influence decision-making, craft business solutions, and strengthen overall organizational capabilities.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide data governance expertise to teams across the organization, ensuring good data governance practices are followed.
    • Promote trust in data by developing, following, and maturing data governance practices.
    • Deliver reporting, data visualisation, and dashboard functionalities across multiple data types and sources, leveraging programming and database expertise.
    • Identify and communicate insights and recommendations by analysing complex data sources.
    • Propose enhancements to reporting and data analysis techniques.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated history of successfully leading companywide data governance change and initiatives with confidence.
    • A robust ability to engage effectively with all areas of the business, adjusting to different levels of data literacy.
    • Proficient skills in data visualization platforms (such as Power BI).
    • Past experience in customer or consumer data domain will be strongly valued.
    • Experience in developing performance metrics and indicators.
    • Proficient in recognising and evaluating risks, and implementing suitable control and monitoring measures.
    • Proven ability to work with and coordinate cross-functional teams of business, IT, and other key stakeholders.
