Job Description

D&E Air Conditioning Pty Ltd is a leading provider of air conditioning and heating services in Adelaide, SA. We are currently seeking an experienced Building Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a skilled technician to assist with on-site assessments to determine ducting work requirements using standard tools to gather necessary data.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting work and materials for compliance with regulations, specifications, and standards.
  • Supporting coordination and supervision of subcontractors and other trades involved in ducting-related tasks is also a key aspect of this role.
  • The technician will prepare and revise plans and specifications requiring works.
  • Conducting site measurements, moisture surveys, and taking photographic evidence, which will be uploaded to our workflow management system, is an essential part of this job.
  • The successful candidate will interpret ducting plans, codes, and best practice guidelines to support compliance.
  • Working with the project team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of ducting services and related systems is crucial.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with industry standards and client requirements is also a key responsibility.
  • Processing survey data, plans, and models using industry-standard software is required.
  • Calculating costs and estimating time scales and workflows is an essential skill for this role.
  • The successful candidate must ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position is required.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications will be highly regarded.
