About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Group Financial Reporting team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Group Financial Reporting in achieving our objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with multiple groups across Macquarie to deliver external financial reporting requirements, including group, bank, non-bank interim, and annual financial statements.
  • Be responsible for month-end reporting, consolidation controls, and participation in reporting and data transformation projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and shareholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial reporting strategies and processes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in accounting or a related field.
  • CA/CPA part qualified or qualified (3 years post-qualification).
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret financial statements and accounting requirements and standards (Australian Accounting Standards/International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Excellent knowledge of consolidation accounting concepts.
  • Project management skills and experience in financial services or investment banking industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional and cross-border teams.
