About the Role

A key hands-on position in our Group Accounting team, which supports the overall stewardship of the organisation. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate, complete, and timely financial results and analysis, and contribute to building a high-performance and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and review of accurate financial accounting information for the Stockland Group.
  • Support the preparation and review of robust and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations for the Group. Act as the Group Finance champion for the BlackLine reconciliation system.
  • Support the completion of Group close and consolidation activities, including supporting Business Unit month end and preparing/reviewing and/or approving journals and reconciliations for intercompany transactions and group consolidation.
  • Support and contribute to the compliance with audit, tax, and other regulatory obligations within remit.
  • Support the preparation of information for monthly/half-yearly regulatory requirements for submission to teams such as Specialist Services for Tax.
  • Support the Group Statutory Reporting team with the preparation of half-year and year-end financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables in line with Group reporting timetable.

About You

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification/s is required.
  • Accounting qualification (CA / CPA or equivalent) is required.
  • Management and financial accounting experience.
  • Experience in analytical focussed roles in finance and/or accounting.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
