Financial Accountant - Fund Reporting Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team as a Fund Reporting Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing general ledger reconciliations, regulatory returns, and fund level payments. You will also assist with Management and Board reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations and regulatory returns in a timely manner.
- Make fund level payments and maintain accounting files.
- Assist with Management and Board reporting to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met and provide accurate reporting to enable required control mechanisms.
- Assist with external audit processes and prepare financial statements for entities as needed.
Requirements:
- Degree Qualified with CA/CPA qualification (or in the final stage of completion).
- At least 2 years of superannuation/fund accounting experience.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work well with a team.
- Interest in developing further knowledge about the asset management and superannuation industries.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
- Client service-oriented mindset to achieve finance team objectives.
- Familiarity with financial regulations.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
- Ability to develop detailed financial documentation with accuracy.
- Critical assessment of processes for continuous improvement.
