Chief Liability Resolution Expert

We are seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to manage high-value and complex claims, including professional indemnity, injury, and property liability.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic advice, manage litigation, and collaborate with internal legal teams and external counsel to resolve claims efficiently and fairly.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end claims across class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures.
- Provide strategic advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and claim resolution.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities.
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required.
- Support technical oversight and mentoring within the Specialty claims team.
- Develop governance frameworks and reporting for emerging risks and financial impacts.
- Promote alignment of claims strategies across internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Operate within delegated authority and promote a positive risk culture.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance are mandatory.
- Industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services are mandatory.
- 5-10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims is required.
- Litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement, is mandatory.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities are necessary.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members is beneficial.
- Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems is required.
