APS4 Fraud Investigator Role Summary

This is a key position within the fraud investigation team, requiring an individual with strong analytical and research skills to support the agency's commitment to protecting program integrity and delivering high-quality public services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing business processes and training materials to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Apply Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) or equivalent to support the production of financial intelligence outputs, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Gather, examine, evaluate, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to assess information and analyse documents, raising or referring issues as necessary.
  • Use and maintain information databases and analytical tools for reporting and data manipulation, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, operating business systems including Excel, iBase, Altia, and CRM-based products.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Government (Investigation), or equivalent, as per the Public Services Training Package PSP04.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather, examine, and evaluate complex information.
  • Proficiency with business systems and data analysis tools, including Excel and CRM-based products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage tasks within a structured framework, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
