High-Precision Mechanical Engineer

Q-CTRL is seeking a skilled High-Precision Mechanical Engineer to join our team of engineers and physicists working on the development of quantum sensors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the design, development, integration and support of our high-precision mechanical sensors from requirements through to detailed design and testing.
  • Work closely with research scientists and stakeholders to develop cutting-edge measurement systems that push the boundaries of precision.
  • Be part of a team responsible for the integration, testing and validation of newly commissioned sensors.
  • Contribute to critical quantum sensing field trials with industry partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
  • Track record of delivering high-precision prototype mechanical designs including analysis, drawings and tolerancing.
  • Demonstrated experience designing with CAD software and working in an R&D environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with ultra-high vacuum technology.
  • Expertise with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural/modal analysis.
