Student Counsellor Role Overview

The Student Counsellor will provide responsive and effective support services to enrolled students at a leading educational institution. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a registered Psychologist or Social Worker to make a positive impact on student wellbeing.

  • Therapeutic Counselling: Extensive experience in providing therapeutic counselling, assessment, risk assessment, and crisis intervention.
  • Knowledge of Student Needs: Broad knowledge and understanding of the wide range and complex needs of students within a tertiary education setting.
  • Rapport Building: Well-developed ability to establish rapport and form a therapeutic alliance with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, liaise, negotiate, and resolve conflict in complex situations.
  • Qualifications and Experience: Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience.
