Process Engineer

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Process Engineer to join our dynamic team at Central Coast Council. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the operation, management, and maintenance of our water and wastewater treatment plants.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve complex process issues, providing technical input and advice to operators and staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and legislation in the operation, management, and maintenance of our treatment plants.
- Prepare technical reports, business cases, and make recommendations for future plant augmentations, operations, and upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance to treatment plant operators to resolve problems, requiring the application of specialized knowledge and skills.
- A degree qualification in Science, Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
- A current Class C Driver's Licence.
- A current Confined Spaces Certification or willingness to obtain.
- A valid Construction General Induction card - NSW SafeWork or equivalent.
- Experience in the operational aspects of water and sewerage treatment facilities and associated regulatory and reporting requirements.
- A permanent full-time role with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and service-focused team.
- A salary range of $99,700 to $119,600 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Access to a leaseback vehicle for official duties and private use.
- A vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week, if a vehicle is not available immediately.
- Hybrid and flexible working conditions, with the option to work from home two days a week and onsite three days a week.
