About the Yarwun Manufacturing Site

Our Yarwun manufacturing site in Gladstone, Queensland, produces Nitric Acid, Sodium Cyanide, and Ammonium Nitrate. We are committed to safety, innovation, and environmental stewardship, supplying vital industries worldwide.

About the Role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at the Yarwun manufacturing site. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager Technical and be responsible for the optimization and technical development of the Ammonia Nitrate Complex and related areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures;
  • Maintain safety and process documentation for the Ammonia Nitrate Complex;
  • Support and deliver continuous improvement projects;
  • Provide technical support across production, maintenance, and supply chain activities;
  • Review and approve management of change proposals;
  • Analyse process data for trends and improvement opportunities;
  • Lead root cause analysis for process incidents.

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Chemical/Process Engineering with a minimum of 4+ years industry experience;
  • Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English;
  • Results-oriented, conceptual thinker with a tenacity for taking initiative and getting the job done;
  • Experience with process safety management and risk assessment;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
