Role Overview

As a Solar Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of our solar energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review detailed engineering designs for solar PV systems, including system layouts, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
  • Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate solar systems into broader project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases of projects.
  • Perform yield assessments, energy performance modeling, and system optimization to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar PV systems.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of design processes and tools.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and project proposals.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software such as Auto CAD, PVSyst, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid connection requirements, and renewable energy standards in Australia.
  • Experience with solar farm projects, including large-scale utility projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
