Elevate Learning Across Our Hospitals

This is a full-time, permanent position that plays a pivotal role in the design, development, and management of the education portfolio across our hospitals. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure consistent training and education for clinical and non-clinical teams.

The Senior Education Manager will review and implement efficiencies to processes and procedures to enhance the overall hospital's education program offerings. This includes creating appropriate and cost-effective learning courses to address staff skills gaps in alignment with professional development and risk areas identified.

The role involves facilitating the creation of new programs arising from internal review and audit recommendations. Additionally, it requires working with the education team members to transform complex information into highly engaging educational content.

The Senior Education Manager will also review the effectiveness of our clinical graduate programs, seeking opportunities for improved efficiency. They will provide insight and proactively contribute to policy development as required.

Maintaining effective networks and partnering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is essential. This includes representing our organization in internal groups and external organizations.

People management and leadership are critical aspects of this role, involving coaching, feedback, and regular connections with team members. Engaging and motivating team members to ensure organizational and team goals are appropriately achieved is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar expert role within a learning or clinical education function, providing subject matter advice to employees and leaders as required.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing learning needs and developing learning solutions.
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Experience in the design and development of complex learning programs, tools, and resources for varying audiences.
• Expert knowledge of hospital accreditation standards.
• Excellent knowledge of adult learning principles, methodologies, and learning design/delivery trends and best practice approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams through process improvement and change initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a dynamic and complex environment.
• Postgraduate tertiary qualifications in a related field (e.g., Nursing, Allied Health, or Health Science) are highly desirable.
• A current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is highly desirable.
