Job Summary

We are seeking proactive and detail-focused professionals to join our School Bus Services branch as Compliance Support Officers. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the safety, training, and quality assurance of School Bus Services across Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage safety and compliance audit programs to support contractor and service compliance.
  • Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, and reviews of operational practices to ensure safety standards are upheld.
  • Provide input into WHS and environmental documentation, including contractor safety plans, emergency procedures, and bulletins.
  • Contribute to training programs for internal staff and external school bus contractors.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to communicate audit outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications (Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent) and knowledge in applying WHS legislation, safety management systems, and conducting audits.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Skilled in researching, analyzing, and applying legislation, policies, and standards to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Possession of a current West Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Drivers Licence or equivalent.
