Sheet Metal Specialist

Innovative engineering solutions provider seeks a skilled tradesperson to deliver high-quality sheet metal fabrication services.
- We are looking for someone with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate measurements, tolerances, and materials.
- The successful candidate will possess excellent cutting and shaping skills using various tools such as shears, plasma cutters, or laser cutters.
- Familiarity with welding techniques, including MIG and TIG, is essential to ensure proper weld quality and strength.
- Able to smooth out rough edges, sharp corners, and imperfections on fabricated sheet metal using grinding tools, sanders, and polishers.
- Inspection of completed sheet metal components is crucial to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A trade qualification in sheet metal or mechanical work is preferred but we're open to hearing from those with relevant experience and no formal qualifications.
- At least 2-3 years of practical experience in metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with Tig, Mig, and MMAW welding processes.
- The ability to work independently once given a task and be comfortable working in a high-quality fabrication environment.
- Residence within 30-40 minutes of Campbelltown and ownership of your own vehicle.
