Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working with metal components.
- Read engineering drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements for ventilation and ductwork installations.
- Determine physical dimensions of sheet metal components.
- Select and inspect raw materials such as stainless steel, galvanized iron, mild steel, aluminum and check sizes, gauges, and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications.
- Cut, shave, bend, and press metal bodies to required dimensions.
- Travel to project sites and perform on-site modifications as needed.
- Assemble pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
- Coordinate equipment shutdowns and startups with other departments after sheet metal installation.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties on equipment as directed by supervisors.
To be successful in this role you need:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- Able to understand basic calculations and apply mathematical concepts to real-world problems.
- Ability to undertake manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using various tools and machinery.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy standards.
