Role Summary:
This Orthoptist Clinical Specialist position is required to provide quality care to clients through competent clinical skills, effective communication and active participation within a multidisciplinary team environment.
About the Role:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment / intervention and advocacy for BHS clients within the Ophthalmology Clinic.
- Participate in professional development, quality improvement projects, and evidence-based practice while ensuring compliance with competency standards.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration at all levels, ensuring accessibility for support and actively engaging with the Ophthalmologist and Nurse Unit Manager on key issues.
- Manage information per standards by meeting documentation requirements, maintaining timely records, and reviewing data for staffing and quality assessments.
- In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, the Orthoptist Clinical Specialist will support workforce development by discussing staffing needs, participating in recruitment and performance management, and engaging in professional development and review programs.

Salary:
$44.77 - $51.46 per hour.
