Perioperative Clinical Education Specialist

We are seeking an experienced educator to lead the development of perioperative clinical education programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical nurse managers to identify learning needs and deliver high-quality education programs. They will lead staff development within the perioperative team, using innovative teaching strategies and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and uphold the mission and values of the organization
- Identify learning needs and objectives for individuals and groups
- Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs in collaboration with the education manager
- Deliver adult-learning-based clinical education and reflective practice
- Provide mentorship and support for new staff members
- Develop learning packages and competencies for perioperative units
- Collaborate with clinicians, company representatives, and healthcare professionals to enhance educational programs
- Support organizational change and review of relevant policies
- Incorporate current research and evidence-based practices into education
- Assist with mandatory training activities
- Foster clear, effective communication across all levels of the organization
This role requires a minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in a perioperative setting, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively teach, mentor, and support nursing staff.
