Environmental Specialist

As an Environmental Specialist, you will work closely with technical leads and clients to assess risk, manage sites, and develop strategies for contaminated land consulting. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist consultancy as you take on the challenge of conducting site investigations, designing sampling plans, and interpreting data.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting preliminary and detailed site investigations (PSIs, DSIs)
  • Designing and interpreting sampling plans and risk-based site assessments
  • Developing remediation action plans and site management strategies
  • Collaborating with clients, auditors, labs, and field teams
  • Guiding junior staff and contributing to a strong team culture

Requirements:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or Engineering
  • 3–6 years of experience in contaminated land consulting
  • Strong knowledge of NEPM and relevant QLD guidelines (ESR, DES, CRC CARE)
  • Fieldwork confidence and technical writing skills
  • Excellent client communication skills and commercial awareness
