Advanced Practitioner in Adult Intensive Care

Delivering exceptional patient care requires a unique blend of clinical expertise, emotional intelligence and organisational skills. As a critical care nurse with Mercy Health Australia, you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team working in a supportive environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will undertake a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care (Adult Intensive Care) with paid study leave. This innovative employment model enables you to provide direct patient care while pursuing your education.
The Graduate Certificate in Critical Care is a 1-year course that includes:
- A transition to ICU with bedside teaching and weekly tutorials
- Dedicated study days and clinical practice portfolio support
- Supernumerary time as you progress as an Intensive Care Nurse
Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for ongoing employment with the organisation.
Essential Skills and QualificationsTo excel in this role, you will have:
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
You will also need to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
- Current proof of influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
