Our company is seeking a talented Principal Structural Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to various major infrastructure projects, industrial developments, and commercial projects.

As a senior engineer, you will provide technical guidance to junior team members and apply engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering problems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Becoming a technical focal point for the structural team in Melbourne
  • Applying engineering fundamentals to solve complex engineering solutions
  • Liaising with clients, design technicians, and other team members to deliver practical solutions
  • Managing client relationships, preparing fee proposals, and tender documentation
  • Providing technical guidance to junior team members

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in structural design
  • Deep experience in structural engineering design and Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent
  • A Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher degree
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and a problem-solving mentality
  • Willingness to mentor and check technical documentation for junior members
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
