Geologist Position Overview

We are inviting applications for a Project Geologist to join our team at a major gold mine in Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale underground operation, producing 2.7 million tonnes per annum with plans to reach 3.1 million tonnes in the future.

The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving this goal by identifying drilling targets to extend the Life of Mine (LOM) and increase reserves and resources.

Responsibilities will include working with the modeling and resource estimation team to improve geological data for grade control and resource estimations, planning, monitoring, and implementing mine geology business improvement projects, contributing to the End of Month reconciliation and reporting process, and supporting the Grade Control team in GC modeling & estimation.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • A BSc in Geology or higher-level qualifications
  • Previous underground mine geology experience
  • Strong grasp of mining geology including gold sampling and assaying, geological interpretation, grade modeling
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Vulcan, Leapfrog, and Datashed
