Asbestos Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to work as an Asbestos Analyst.

Key responsibilities include undertaking routine preparation and analysis of soil and water samples, performing asbestos fiber counting and identification on various materials, onsite sampling, and becoming an authorized signatory for fibre counting and identification.

In addition, the successful candidate will participate in external and internal proficiency testing, carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance, and understand and uphold general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.

Qualifications required include appropriate tertiary education or TAFE certificates, experience in Asbestos analysis using PLM/Dispersion staining technique, flexibility with working hours and tasks, and previous NATA signatory status in asbestos identification is preferred.
