Job Overview

This role is focused on environmental stewardship and management practices, enhancing sustainability across various projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure sustainable management measures are incorporated into our submissions and planned activities
  • Develop strategic documentation such as Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP's) to support tender submissions, national environmental approvals
  • Design and implement environmental awareness programs and training initiatives
  • Conduct regular environmental inspections and oversee the implementation of sustainable management measures
  • Drive the implementation of a certified Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Support the development of systems, subplans, inspections, and monitoring tools for enhanced environmental performance
  • Review and investigate environmental incidents at a national level, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with project teams to achieve compliance with relevant environmental obligations
  • Support the achievement of organisational ESG objectives through effective environmental management practices
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of environmental policies, regulations, and industry standards in the construction and mining sectors
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental sciences, sustainability, or a related field
  • Proficiency in environmental monitoring, inspection, auditing, data collection, and reporting
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks, approval processes, and industrial compliance requirements
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
