Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist Role

A senior geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist is sought to lead geotechnical projects across the Northern NSW region, delivering results nationally and internationally.

This position offers a variety of work involving:

  • Leading geotechnical projects, managing client relationships, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project objectives.
  • Interpreting and assessing data to develop practical solutions for slope stability and remediation, footings, foundation treatments, ground retention, and pavement thickness design.
  • Conducting or directing geotechnical analyses and preparing technical reports for clients.
  • Preparing proposals, reviewing and editing technical reports, and interacting with clients throughout project phases.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members to ensure their professional growth and development.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology, including post-graduate study where applicable.
  • At least 8 years' experience in geotechnical consulting and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong skills in investigation, interpretation, design, and delivery of geotechnical solutions, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and manage projects independently, with a focus on achieving client satisfaction and business success.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
