Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to lead our team in geotechnical projects across the Northern NSW region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading geotechnical projects with opportunities to deliver nationally and internationally, providing technical expertise and project management skills.
  • Interpreting complex data to develop practical and commercially viable solutions, utilizing industry-standard methods and tools.
  • Conducting or directing geotechnical analyses in areas such as slope stability, remediation, footings, foundation treatments, ground retention, and pavement thickness design.
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals and technical reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interacting with clients through pursuit, tendering, and delivery phases of projects, fostering strong relationships and excellent client service.
  • Providing technical mentoring for junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology, with post-graduate study advantageous.
  • At least 8 years' experience in geotechnical consulting and infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong skills in investigation, interpretation, design, and delivery of geotechnical solutions, including advanced analytical techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, prioritise tasks, and manage projects independently, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client collaboration, project management, and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
