Job Description

The Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General is undergoing a significant transformation. As we transition our ICT services, we require an experienced and dedicated Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering successful ICT projects and initiatives.

This key role will oversee and manage the transition of ICT services to ensure value for money, continuity of services, and implementation of a fit-for-purpose solution. You will provide strong advice to stakeholders, collaborate with business leaders to understand technology needs, and build and maintain relationships within and between agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement ICT Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy that aligns with the agency's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Manage ICT Operations: Manage day-to-day operations of the ICT Operations team, including management of staff and resources.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with staff on technology-related matters.
  • Ensure Security and Reliability: Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems and data, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.
  • Project Management: Define, approach, and facilitate satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects; provide effective leadership to the project team.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and maintain financial records for compliance and audit.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • ICT Project Delivery Experience: Achievements in ICT project delivery are essential for this role.
  • Public Sector Experience: Public sector experience is highly valued in this position.
  • Strong Technical and Managerial Skills: Strong technical and managerial skills are required to succeed in this role.
