Seeking Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist/Consultant in Mental Health to provide mental health services and support to young people in the Isaac region.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Child and Youth Mental Health Service experience with a willingness to work with this population
  • Mental health assessment and case management experience
  • Triage experience
  • Competence in completing an ECG
Desirable Requirements:
  • AOD case management experience
  • Knowledge of CIMHA database
  • Knowledge of ATODS-IS database
  • Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
  • Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2016
  • Experience working with children & adolescents

Please note that you must hold medical registration with AHPRA and have the right to work in Australia to be eligible for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health services and support to young people in the Isaac region
  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop case management plans
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mental health care
