Clinical Mental Health Nursing Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist/Consultant to join our team at a Central QLD hospital. As a key member of our mental health team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical advice and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based treatments in mental health.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in mental health nursing or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health theories, models, and interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a short-term contract position with a fixed term, working hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday.

Please note that you must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible for AHPRA registration.
