Empowerment Worker

This role is part of a program that focuses on empowering individuals with psychiatric disabilities to live independently and connect with their community.

  • We're seeking a skilled and compassionate worker to partner with clients in developing tailored recovery plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with participants, their families, and friends to create meaningful health, social, and economic outcomes.
  • Experience in psychosocial rehabilitation services and knowledge of the biopsychosocial model of mental health are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized recovery plans that align with participant's goals and aspirations.
  • Facilitate active involvement of participants and carers in the development, planning, delivery, and evaluation of services.
  • Provide support and guidance to participants in achieving desired outcomes, including transition to appropriate care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client progress and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working with individuals with mental illness.
  • Experience in psychosocial rehabilitation services.
  • Understanding of the biopsychosocial model of mental health and social inclusion principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
