The role of a Family Violence Specialist involves providing direct support to clients, facilitating connections with external services, and advocating for their needs within the context of family violence.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing client cases, including safety planning, referrals, and assistance with navigating housing exit processes.
- Collaborating with clients on life planning, including education, healthcare, and other essential services.
- Overseeing the management of residential properties to ensure they remain safe and supportive environments for clients.
- Working closely with a team of dedicated practitioners to contribute to a strong and collaborative team dynamic.
- A degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification is required.
- MARAM Training completion is necessary.
- Previous experience within Family Violence is highly desirable.
- Critical thinking and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practice are essential.
- Experience in a refuge or similar setting is preferred.
