Communications Specialist Role

We seek a Communications Specialist to play a vital role in protecting and enhancing our reputation through effective communications strategies.

  • Develop and implement media relations, crisis communication, content development, and social media strategies to promote our brand and services.
  • Build relationships across the business to source engaging stories that align with our culture and objectives, researching, producing, and posting compelling stories for internal and external audiences.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop clear and compelling conference presentations and award submissions.
  • Support proactive and reactive media engagement, drafting media releases, briefing notes, talking points, Q&As, and responses to media enquiries.
  • Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills, tailoring content for diverse audiences and channels.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Media, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar media or communications role, ideally within government, transport, infrastructure, or high-profile industries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborating across teams and with external stakeholders.
