About the Role

As a highly skilled Data Engineering Platform Manager, you will play a key role in leading Lion's Data & Analytics team to drive business growth through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS Data Platform and Data Engineering, with 12+ years of experience in similar roles. They should also possess excellent leadership skills, with 10+ years of experience in team management within data engineering or analytics functions.

You will be responsible for designing and deploying high-performance data pipelines and architectures, implementing process and infrastructure optimizations, and ensuring compliance with data governance standards.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving innovation and excellence in data engineering, and can effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of data engineers to design and deploy high-performance data pipelines and architectures.
  • Implement process and infrastructure optimizations to automate tasks, improve scalability, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues, support data needs, and drive platform innovation.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, ETL processes, and data visualization.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python, AWS (Athena, Redshift, Glue), and experience with Power BI and SAP (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of data architecture and modelling best practices for scalability and security.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and design thinking principles.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
