At Lion, we are seeking a talented Senior AWS Data Engineer to lead our data-driven decision making. As a key member of our team, you will design, build, test, and deploy optimized, highly available, and reliable data pipelines and architectures using relevant tools.



You will drive business value creation by integrating new data platform toolsets into an innovation pipeline. Your expertise will enhance current capabilities and foster a culture of data-driven innovation, aligned closely with Lion's rigorous data governance practices.



The Opportunity


  • Design and implement data pipelines and architectures using AWS technologies and services.
  • Integrate new data platform toolsets into an innovation pipeline to drive business value creation.
  • Assemble large, complex structured and unstructured data sets that meet business requirements, ensuring security and governance.
  • Update existing data models and metadata repositories for new use cases.
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure scalability redesign.


What We're Looking For


  • Extensive experience with AWS architecture, technologies, and services, with a focus on creating business value.
  • Strong understanding of Data & Analytics concepts and technologies, including data warehousing, data lakes, ETL, visualization, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages such as SQL, Python, Athena, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Deep knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Marts, and Metadata Management best practices.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Modern Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Data Engineering, with strong Agile delivery skills and a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
