Senior AWS Data Engineer: Driving Data-Driven Innovation

Lion is seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to drive the expansion and optimization of our Data & Analytics platform.

As a key member of our team, you will design, build, test, and deploy optimized data pipelines and architectures using relevant tools, driving business value creation by integrating new data platform toolsets into an innovation pipeline.

You will assemble large, complex structured and unstructured data sets that meet business requirements, ensuring security and governance. Your expertise will enhance current capabilities, foster a culture of data-driven innovation, and align closely with Lion's rigorous data governance practices.

The Opportunity:

  • Design and implement highly available and reliable data architectures using AWS services and technologies.
  • Drive business value creation through integration of new data platform toolsets.
  • Assemble complex data sets for business use cases, ensuring security and governance.
  • Update existing data models and metadata repositories for new use cases.
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure scalability redesign.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience with AWS architecture, technologies, and services.
  • Strong understanding of Data & Analytics concepts and technologies.
  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages such as SQL, Python, Athena, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Deep knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Marts, and Metadata Management best practices.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Modern Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Data Engineering, with strong Agile delivery skills and a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
