About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced Principal Council Officer to join our Corporate and Bicentenary (Black Rod) Office.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in the management of the Fountain Court and Reconciliation Wall exhibition spaces, protocol, and providing assistance in arranging significant events, such as those planned as part of the Bicentenary of the Legislative Council.

They will also assist in the preparation of procedural material as required and provide briefing support to the President for their appearance at Budget Estimates.

We are a dynamic, hard-working team supporting the work of the Legislative Council – the Upper House of the NSW Parliament.

The Upper House is a 'House of Review', and acts as a check and balance on the Executive Government.

Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable.

Applicants must be able to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19, as determined by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI).
